Research Interests

I have a strong interest in decision-making and thus the behavioural choices made by animals, in particular how those behaviours may alter in the face of a changeable environment. My current research is focused on how memory in the bumblebee changes over time when unreinforced. In particular I am looking at whether memory, rather than simply degrading, changes in a predictable way using certain rules, for example incorporating known innate biases toward particular colours, shapes or patterns.
